TUFA DONATES FOOTBALLS TO UDS AS PART OF COLLABORATION
7th April, 2014
Tamale Utrecht Football Academy on Sunday donated 10 miter footballs to the University for Development Studies as part of the collaboration between the two institutions.
The donation which was done after the division one side had dispatched UDS 3-1 in a friendly encounter to officially outdoor the collaboration took place at the Academy complex in Kasalgu.
In February, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding [MOU]. The idea of the collaboration is focusing on exchanging views and perspectives through sports and education.
The collaboration envisions a world in which media, sports and schooling embrace opportunities for ethical leadership and internationally promote ethical growth.
The fundamental goal of UDS in this collaboration is to provide better education and social collaboration for a better future and support educational growth especially at TUFA and expose the students to the culture of both education and sports.
Receiving the donation on behalf of UDS, the Vice Dean of students, Mr. Albert Yawson congratulated TUFA for the donation and acknowledges the importance of the collaboration. He was of the view that the balls will be put to good use as they continue their search for talents at the University.
Mr. Yawson promised to convey the message and items to the Authorities of UDS and indicated that their outfit will play their role in ensuring a more useful collaboration.
