TUFA SUPPORTS WOMEN FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT WITH MATERIALS AND CASH DONATION
As part of the Academy's social projects of empowering women in the Northern part of the country, the management of the Academy, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 donated cash and other materials to support women football development in this year's Unity Games that was held in Kunbungu, a suburb of the Northern Regional Capital, Tamale.
In a speech delivered by Mr. Baba Nuhu Malam (Technical Director, TUFA), on behalf of the CEO and management of the Academy at the closing ceremony, he thanked organizers of the event for their efforts in fostering unity among the various Women teams in the Region.
The Technical Director added that, TUFA was pleased to be part of this year's unity program and stressed the importance of sports and education. He indicated that Sports has enormous power to generate real social, economic and environmental changes and contribute to sustainable development and social cohesion.
He tasked the girls (players) to have positive attitude towards sports but urged them to take education serious as well.
As part of the Academy’s social responsibilities, TUFA will continue to support football development among the youth and as such will host the next edition of the Unity Games at the Academy complex.
